who can attend?
-
Current 2021-22 High School Freshmen - Seniors. There are 15 student spots in total.
-
A student who has at least a 50% participation record at EDGE meetings, Retreats, Events, Trips, etc… If you have any questions about attendance, contact Pastor James. We do keep attendance.
We Still recommend all students who are interested to sign-up, because not everyone meets the criteria and still qualify based on interest.
-
If both requirements mentioned above are met, thEn those students who are older get first priority.
-
If spots are still open after HS applications are done, this trip will be open to Connect group members. Connect Group members are encouraged to apply any time during application open dates.

This Trip is Full

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN CHOSEN
Students chosen to participate will have to make a commitment to attend at least 1/2 of all EDGE meetings and events. This is because of the seriousness of this trip, and we are looking for our students to make a commitment to continued growth before they travel to Peru.
PASSPORT NEEDED
All Students will need to acquire a passport as soon as they know they are going (February 28 is the latest they will know). This process can take anywhere from 2 months to 4 months.

COST AND PAYMENT
Cost is $1500 per student.
For this trip we do a church-wide fundraiser that usually covers most of the expense and has covered all the expense for past trips. Students will also create fundraising letters (we provide templates) or a GoFundMe page on their own. They also will be required to participate in one fundraising event (babysitting at the church for parent night). Money for this trip will not be due until two weeks prior to departure. Total due will be calculated after all fundraising is due. Scholarships are always available if fund-raising efforts do not cover most or all of cost.
