WHEN WILL WE LEAVE & RETURN 

We are traveling by a charter bus and vans. We are asking everyone to be at Kingdom by 4:00PM to pack the bus and Eat Dinner. Yes, dinner will be provided :). We are having the Lord's chicken - Chick-Fil-A! After dinner and a small informational meeting, will be leaving the church parking lot around 5:00PM.

Important: We will be taking a second charter bus to Fall Retreat from Kingdom after the MoHawk Bowl. Students will come to Kingdom following the game, and we expect to leave around 10PM. Registration will include this option. Pease look for it and select accordingly. We want to make sure we have an accurate list so no student is missed.

 

We will be arriving back on Sunday, around 1:00PM.

WHAT WILL WE DO?

Everyday we will be uplifted and challenged through worship services, interactive teaching, fellowship, games, food, and ample free time to enjoy the Camp facilities.

WHAT DO WE BRING?

Students are encouraged to bring only 1 small-medium bag for clothes and 1 bag for bedding and toiletries. Students can also bring 1 large bag with both clothes and bedding. 

We will be staying in cabins, with beds and bathrooms. Students must bring bedding (twin size) and pillows, toiletries, towels, Bible, pen/pencil, and enough clothing for three days. Skateboards, sports equipment, balls, and musical instruments are permitted (We also bring plenty of sports equipment).

IMPORTANT CONCERNING SNACKS AND DRINKS: No Snacks and drinks are permitted on this retreat. This keeps food out of the cabins, which keeps critters out also. We provide plenty, like A LOT...Lol, of snacks and drinks (a wide variety) for the entire weekend. We also offer ample healthy options like fruit and whole food snacks with some unhealthy options :). 

If there are any food allergy concerns, we will take care of those with each individual family and their needs as recorded on the registration form.

*Students can bring their own water bottle, as the camp has its own refillable and filtered water station in addition to all the water we bring.

 

WILL THEY NEED MONEY?

Students may bring some money for snacks on the way up and back from camp IF we stop for bathroom breaks. There is no food, drinks or snacks to buy at the retreat center. Like mentioned earlier, we will have plenty for them. 

 

WHAT IF FINANCES AREN'T AVAILABLE?

Scholarships are always available. Please fill out the registration form and fill in the section designated for scholarships.

PAYING BY CASH OR CHECK.

*If paying by check, Please make all checks out to Kingdom EMC with "Fall Retreat - child's name" written in the MEMO. If paying by cash, please bring cash with a note inside of an envelope with child/children's names inside. The online registration form needs to be filled out by all participant's parents regardless of payment type.

ELECTRONICS AND PHONES

Students will be discouraged from having electronics of any kind with the exception of cell phones. Cell phones will be collected and given back when needed, and at the end of camp. Any electronics discovered will be put in holding (by one of our leaders) and returned when the retreat is over. We always permit students to recover their phones for the purpose of contacting family members when they desire. Especially in the evenings or mornings to check in and say hi. They can also use a leader's phone to do the same. Parents will be able to contact leaders at anytime. Leader phone numbers will be provided after registration for communication during retreat.
